Philanthropy

Giving back is critical to our mission. We seek to make a lasting, positive impact on our industry and in our local community.

CREWBaltimore seeks to make a lasting, positive impact on our local community, far beyond the commercial real estate industry, with an emphasis on women. Along with our Outreach committee, chapter members contribute their time and effort to our collective philanthropic efforts by:

  • Providing donations of toiletries to women in need through My Sister’s Place Women’s Center

  • Participating in workshops with interns preparing them for the workforce, specifically focusing on resume building, interviewing, social media presence, and overall professionalism.

  • Providing scholarships to local colleges and universities including Morgan State University.

  • Supporting CREW Network Foundation (see below)

My Sister’s Place Women’s Center

My Sister’s Place Women’s Center has been our Chapter’s philanthropy partner since 2017. MSP is Baltimore City’s longest-serving women’s day shelter and resource center for women and children experiencing homelessness and poverty. During the pandemic they need our assistance now more than ever to continue serving Baltimore City women in need.

The CREWBaltimore Outreach Committee has set-up an Amazon Wish List to make it easy for you to donate the most requested items. You may choose and pay for items from the Wish List which will be shipped directly to the organization. If everyone donates just one item, we can make a big difference!

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland

CREWBaltimore has again partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Maryland in their latest Virtual initiative- “JA Virtual Shark Tank”. The Shark Tanks are a component of JA’s Rising Women Program, which is a unique afterschool opportunity for female high school students (grades 9-12), who are interested in exploring their entrepreneurial potential. Over the course of 8-14 weeks, students will manage, operate, and execute a full-fledge company, and the shark tank is the kickoff to pitch their ideas and gather valuable feedback.

We are proud to support the CREW Network Foundation Hall of Fame

CREWBaltimore is proud to support CREW Network Foundation through the Hall of Fame chapter giving program. Through a three-year commitment, our chapter supports the Linda Hollemon Scholarship Endowment, and advances the Foundation’s mission through career outreach and industry research programs.

CREW Network Foundation

We are proud to support CREW Network Foundation, the only charitable foundation solely dedicated to advancing women in the commercial real estate industry. CREW Network Foundation is committed to bringing more women into commercial real estate by offering programs like CREW Careers and UCREW that educate women and girls about the career opportunities in the industry; supporting CRE higher education and training through college scholarships and internships; and providing mentorships to those new to the industry.
